Smart Casual

Well talk about not posting for a while. Things have been pretty hectic this end - countless deadlines, coursework and building up a photography portfolio. However in the spirit of New Years Resolutions I have decided to blog frequently.

Choosing an outfit which is going to look both good and serve the purpose of keeping you warm is getting definitively hard. Luckily, Topman have me covered. This plaid shirt has become one of my go to items this Winter. Pairing it with things is easy - whether it be these light denim jeans or a pair of smarter black ones. On this particular occasion I was going for a more casual look and opted for Vans to finish the look off.

Quilted

Impulse buys aren't always bad, I recently bought this jacket in London because I was a little cold and wanted something a little warmer to wear. Primark I salute you - it has turned out great.

Also these shoes are another favourite. I love the colours and they're great for brightening up in the Spring months. Gone are the days of boring white or black trainers.

Checkered

Checkered, tartan or anything along those lines is in right now. Yes we are into the first day of Spring, but I somehow cannot see this trend dying anytime soon...No complaints here.

This Topman shirt was a Christmas purchase and it has been a staple of mine since then. Pairing it with denim jeans and a white top for something more casual, or perhaps with black jeans and buttoned up for something worthy of going out. You really cannot go wrong with it! In this outfit, I wanted something casual to see some friends and do some shopping - it worked amazingly! And yes I am a Topman addict.

Ben Sherman Harrington Jacket

Finally sun!
Today was the first day in about a week that I have been out to take some photos for my blog due to the poor English weather.
In this post I decided to wear an outfit which I have never actually worn before and wasn't 100 percent sure about.
The outfit I decided to wear was a Topman White/Navy contrast long sleeve T-Shirt with a pair of light skinny jeans, also from Topman. Paired with this I wore a Ben Sherman Harrington jacket which is something that will never go out of fashion. This Harrington jacket has been worn on many occasions due to the comfort yet stylishness of it.
The thing I was most concerned about in this outfit was the shoes. The shoes are Nike Pegasus 30s and I have never actually worn them before this post therefore I decided to try them out.

Blue Cable Knit

I finally bit the bullet and begun to do outfit of the days. In these past couple of months I found myself being more interested in mens fashion; trips to Topman and All Saints have become a lot more frequent. There is something about mens fashion that inspires me, I've never realised that you can have so many patterns of shirts and colours of jumpers.
After having quite a big interest in photography I decided to invest in a DSLR. Although these pictures aren't taken with it, the posts from here-on will be.
For this outfit I was going out for lunch with friends and I didn't want to look to smart nor too casual. The jumper-shirt combination is the best way to dress smart casual. I was lucky enough that the day I was going for lunch was a really lovely day so I didn't need to throw over a coat.

Christmas Wishlist

Well I gave in and made myself a blog. As someone who enjoys fashion it only seemed right to express that. I never thought I'd be the kind of guy who would be writing about fashion, but I suppose that's life.
For my first post I thought I would go easy creating a 'wish list' with all the things I am lusting over this winter.
Men's Parka (Click here to buy) - You can't go wrong with a Parka and this one from UNIQLO is a great price, alongside a brand which is known for its high quality. It would be criminal not to wear this, surely?

Vans iPhone case (Click here to buy) - Perhaps if I had of thought of this before I wouldn't have a huge crack across the middle of my screen. As a fan of Vans (They're so comfy right?) it makes sense to purchase a case that matches my shoes.

Daniel Wellington Classic Oxford Watch (Click here to buy) - Can you really go wrong with a classic time piece like this?

Paco Rabanne 1 Million (Click here to buy) - After testing this in my local Perfume Shop I've been desperate to get my hands on it - hopefully I will be waking up to this under the tree.

Vans Authentic (Click here to buy) - Having worn mine to death, a new pair of these is more of an essential than a want.

Penny Original 22" (Click here to buy) - I have to admit this is inspired by JacksGap, and after spending time watching them have so much fun on them I really want to try one out for myself.

Nevada Suede Desert Boots (Click here for link) - As much as I love Vans it's always nice to mix it up a bit and make my look a little bit smarter. Paired with some dark skinny jeans, dark blue shirt and cable knit jumper combo they would be a perfect example of the 'smart-casual' look.
